DEIB Fireside Chat (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging)
The DEIB Fireside Chat is an informal yet structured interview between a moderator and a DEIB community advocate. It is a unique opportunity to uncover personal stories and ways to promote DEIB. The audience will have the opportunity to engage in this intimate conversation.
Mentorship Café
The Mentorship Café gives delegates the opportunity to meet with mentors with a variety of expertise and experience to gain valuable education and career advice. It is designed to bring attendees into an intimate café-style environment with professionals who are more than willing to share experiences and knowledge.
Sideways Science Session (3S)
A fun session to celebrate what most scientific training ignores: FAILURE. 3S is here to change that. This session is designed to normalize the messy, human side of science; support student and trainee mental health (because science is hard enough); build community, resilience, and a sense of “you’re not alone”; laugh a little, learn a lot, and reduce the stigma around failure.
